Stories That Surfaced From The Tragic Sinking Of Titanic

The sail of Titanic was one of the important moments of history during the industrial revolution. You would be able to delve more into history by reading eBooks available on Mediabak and other platforms on Titanic. Titanic went down in history (both literally and figuratively) as one of the greatest man-made miracles. The reason attributed for its sinking is an iceberg.

One of the most prominent theories of why it sank was that the guy who was in charge of spotting icebergs, didn't have a pair of binoculars. The guy's name was Fred Fleet and he was also one of the survivors. He was the first one to spot the iceberg and confirmed the same before a jury at a senate hearing.

No other disaster has ever managed to inspire more writers than the sinking of the Titanic. But as with all sub genres, only a few titles rise to the top that are inspired by the tragic story of Titanic. Here's a list of those hard-hitting books on the famous tragedy.

A Night to Remember by Walter Lord (1955)

The book is a brilliant and exhaustive account of the few hours before, during and after the sinking of the ship. The book has several characters that communicate with each other and the readers get a peek into the details about who was where and what they were saying.

The Voyage of the Iceberg by Richard Brown (1983)

The book is lyrical and affecting. The novel is about the members of the famous band that played on deck as the ship went down. It has fictional back stories that will give us a glimpse into the Titanic’s legendary journey.

Voyagers of the Titanic by Richard Davenport-Hines (2012)

This book was a 100th anniversary dedication, that focuses not on the ship so much as its passengers. It also has pictures of the staff and others involved with Titanic.

You can find many such books online, on eBook and audiobook platforms like Mediabak. You can also browse through the positive testimonials left by users on the site, to understand how the platform works.
